Brictec KTB Project – May Construction Progress

This month, multiple work items progressed in parallel: steel structure platform at Raw Material Homogenization Warehouse, civil works for No.1/2/3 kiln production lines, piping system, kiln car fabrication, and foundations for raw material equipment. Large batches of equipment containers arrived at site successively from the 12th of this month. Due to delayed arrival of some valve materials and dimensional deviations of certain components, some process steps were postponed. All sub-items were carried out as planned, and key processes steadily achieved stage construction goals. The detailed progress of each sub-item is summarized as follows:

I. Detailed Construction Progress by Sub-item

  • Piping and Quench Cooling System for No.2 Production Line
On the 12th of this month, 78 containers arrived in batches and were unloaded. Due to supply delay of pipeline valves, pipe connection work started on the 18th.
All piping installation for No.2 line is completed. Subsequent work includes pipe grinding, anti-corrosion painting, and insulation.
Quench cooling system is 70% complete; remaining work to be continued.

  • Suspended Ceiling for No.3 Production Line
Bonding of ceiling bricks for No.3 line is 80% complete. Main ceiling construction is scheduled to officially start on June 3rd.

  • Civil Masonry Works for No.1 Production Line
Concrete pouring for the dryer foundation of No.1 line is planned to be completed on the 26th of this month.
Dryer wall masonry started on May 22nd, with 10 skilled Indian masons working on site.

  • Steel Structure Platform and Conveying Equipment Installation at Raw Material Homogenization Warehouse
Main steel structure of the Raw Material Homogenization Warehouse platform is fully completed. Installation of the reversible spreader and the rail of the multi-bucket reclaimer is being finalized.
Only partial checker plate for walkways remains to be laid, scheduled for completion by June 4th. Materials for platform guardrails have been ordered and delivered to site, but welding work has not yet started.

  • Fabrication and Assembly of 7m Kiln Cars
Full-process work on kiln cars started on May 20th, including raw material transfer, formwork fabrication, and welding of the first prototype. A total of 12 units of 7m kiln cars have been assembled. Due to incorrect dimensions of raw materials, 4 cars require rework of their frames.

  • Civil Works for Foundations of No.1 Line Raw Material Equipment
Foundation civil works for the complete set of raw material equipment (mixing extruder, coarse roll crusher, fine roll crusher, box feeder) are 50% complete.

II. Follow-up Construction Plan

  • Complete the laying of remaining checker plates at Raw Material Homogenization Warehouse (by June 4th) and carry out guardrail welding.

  • Start ceiling construction for No.3 line on June 3rd; simultaneously proceed with pipe derusting, painting, insulation, and the remaining 30% of quench cooling system for No.2 line.

  • Complete the foundation pouring of No.1 dryer and continue normal masonry work; push forward the remaining 50% of foundation civil works for raw material equipment.

  • Complete rework of defective kiln cars and steadily advance batch assembly of remaining kiln cars.
